Mold only needs a food source, moisture and amiable temperature to grow. Since mold can grow in -70° C and over 50°C, a mold inspection will cover the areas where moisture accumulates in and around the home. Some of those areas are duct vents, plumbing connections, poor drainage in crawlspace, roof components, carpets and much more.
Samples of the air and specified surfaces will be taken to determine type and amount of mold is present in a specified area. The samples are lab tested and results will be electronically sent to you so you may go over the results with your inspector if necessary.
Because of the health effects of mold, we recommend you be on the lookout for some of these “red flags” that may indicate you need to get a mold test done.
